One platform, many brands: product design for Netspend prepaid banking

The problem

Netspend’s prepaid customers often run their finances in cash and can’t afford opaque fees or clumsy tools. One app had to serve them across many brand partners.

My contribution

As Senior Product Designer (2017–2021), I worked on balances and transactions, direct deposit, sending money, mobile check load and the reload map, and redesigned onboarding to reduce sign-up friction, inside the white-label design system.

Outcome

The same platform shipped as branded apps for partners including PlayStation, 7-Eleven, Brink’s, MLB, PayPal and Western Union.
